ALL-STATE PLAYERS

Each year high school baseball players from each class, 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A, are selected to All-State teams by coaches who belong to the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA). Coaches from all classes may vote for players in each class. As we played schools in higher classes frequently, this may have helped in some years. In my opinion, we did not have as many players selected to the All-State teams as we should have. Many of the 1A schools did not play the schedule we did and our players were clearly better than those selected, not to take away from the accomplishments of those players from other schools. Perhaps there was also some bias against a private school from Indianapolis. We will never know, but we are appreciative of these players being selected by Indiana Baseball Coaches to the 1A All-State teams.
